A little preparation makes a big difference in print.

Preparing Your Files

What file format should I send?

High-resolution, print-ready PDF or vector artwork (AI, EPS) works best. If you’re unsure your file is ready, send what you have and the team will review it before production.

What if I’m not sure whether my file is print-ready?

Contact ColorZone before production. The team can review your file and explain what needs to be corrected.

Color + Resolution

What color mode should print files use?

ColorZone’s file guidance recommends CMYK process color, and asks clients to identify PMS color matches when brand color accuracy matters.

What resolution do I need?

Resolution depends on final size and viewing distance: a banner viewed from across a room needs far less resolution than a label held in hand. See Large-Format Printing for size guidance, or ask the team to review your file.

Large-Format Printing

How wide can ColorZone print?

ColorZone’s VUTEk h3 supports flexible and rigid materials up to 126 inches wide and up to 2 inches thick. Its FabriVU 340i supports fabric up to 133 inches wide.

Does ColorZone print on rigid materials?

Yes. ColorZone’s large-format equipment supports both flexible media and rigid substrates. The best material depends on the application.

Materials + Finishing

Does ColorZone offer mounting and lamination?

Yes. ColorZone works with a range of substrates and finishing options, including edge wraps for a clean, dimensional finish on mounted pieces.

Does ColorZone have digital cutting equipment?

Yes. ColorZone lists an ESKO/Kongsberg digital cutting table among its finishing equipment for custom shapes and precise cuts. See Equipment for the full list.

Labels

What is ColorZone’s minimum label run?

ColorZone produces label runs as small as 50 and as large as 2 million. See Labels for details.

Does digital label printing require traditional plates and dies?

No. ColorZone’s digital label production uses digital printing and laser technology, which removes traditional plate and die costs for applicable projects.
